DODGEN BAND 2024 FUNDRAISER
Our annual music department fundraiser began August 30th and goes through September 18th!
This fundraiser serves two main purposes: 1) to go beyond the level of funding provided by the county, and 2) to cover expenses for which the county budget may not be used (such as guest artists, student recognition, participation fees, etc.).
While this fundraiser is being held by all three music groups, they are each raising money for their own group.
In other words, money raised by band students stays with the band program!
Examples of anticipated expenses include:
Instruction. We periodically bring in outside instructors who are specialists in certain instruments.
Student Recognition. This includes everything from GMEA medals and plaques to post-concert ice cream!
Participation Fees. This includes entry fees for GMEA events which we cannot use our county budget.
Communication. These expenses may include website expenses, photo hosting and custom printing.
Professional Development. Includes expenses related to directors’ professional development activities.
Transportation. This includes transportation for band students on band activities not covered by CCSD.
Additional Instrument Repairs, New Instruments and New Music. New instruments, repair of school-owned instruments, and new sheet music purchases are covered through the county budget first. Fundraiser funds are not used for these items unless county funds are depleted!
Miscellaneous. This category covers any other expenses associated with supporting Dodgen Band students.
Whether you sell items in-person, online, or both...or simply make a monetary donation,
know that every level of support for the Dodgen Band is sincerely appreciated!
